About the KADET Series
First, let me give you a quick introduction to the “KADET” bag!
The “KADET” is the best-selling sling bag in the United States. It comes in three variations: the standard “KADET,” the larger “KADET MAX,” and the compact “MINI KADET.”
The “KADET” and “KADET MAX” feature CHROME’s iconic seatbelt buckle, offering a stylish and unique design.
The “MINI KADET” initially comes with a different buckle, but it can be upgraded to the seatbelt buckle for a customized and more convenient fit!
With three size options, the KADET series is a perfect fit for everyone!
Each season brings new colors, collaboration models, and even exclusive accessories like organizers, making this series incredibly popular!

Now, let’s dive into the newly released “KADET WP series”! These bags are designed to withstand heavy rain, offering exceptional waterproofing and airtightness.
The series includes three models: the “MINI KADET WP,” the “KADET WP,” and the “KADET MAX WP,” all of which are fully waterproof across all sizes!
The main material used is a lightweight, ultra-thin, and fully waterproof specialized fabric. Additionally, instead of traditional stitching, the fabric is thermally bonded to create a seamless structure. This design not only blocks water but also ensures excellent airtightness.
Even the zippers are upgraded, utilizing a higher waterproof standard compared to regular and water-resistant zippers. This completely prevents water from seeping through the zipper areas.
Thanks to its superior waterproofing and airtightness, the bag can even float on water without air escaping! Whether for outdoor adventures, biking, or sudden downpours, the KADET WP is a reliable, fully waterproof sling bag like no other!
Storage Space
The storage pockets are the same as the standard model.
However, the opening is narrower compared to the usual design.
Additionally, with the “KADET MAX,” the front tag for the buckle, which was present in the standard model, has been removed. This means you can no longer tuck in items like jackets.
Shoulder Straps & Buckle
The shoulder straps are the same as the standard model, ensuring the comfortable fit remains unchanged!
Additionally, CHROME accessories can still be attached as before.
The buckle is now a plastic one with added security features. To detach it, you need to press both sides and the center simultaneously. This prevents it from being accidentally opened and adds an anti-theft element!
Of course, you can still swap it with the iconic seatbelt buckle specific to the KADET series.
The “MINI KADET WP” uses a simpler plastic buckle design.
Differences Compared to Tarpaulin Material
The representative waterproof model of KADET has traditionally been the “BLACK TARP” color. While both offer excellent waterproof performance, let’s compare it with the newly launched “KADET WP.”
Weight Differences
The “KADET WP” uses lightweight main materials and switches to a plastic buckle, making it significantly lighter compared to the traditional model!
Improved Zipper Performance
The “BLACK TARP” used water-resistant zippers. However, due to its double zipper design, there could be small gaps between the zippers.
The WP model adopts higher-performance waterproof zippers, ensuring a tighter seal with no gaps. However, the zippers are slightly stiffer, requiring more effort to open and close.
Durability of the Material
The “BLACK TARP” material had the tendency to show scratches as white marks due to its nature. In contrast, the WP model uses materials that make scratches less visible!
Price Differences
Due to the use of specialized waterproof materials and high-performance zippers, the WP model is priced higher than the standard models.
